Promoting a project with Gifs

HI, I think a good way to promote your work, and get it some greater traction online is to use Gifs. This is when you choose a small section of the work, five seconds and make it into a small looping film of sorts, no sound. This is almost like a very short tease or trailer. If you can find the right section it can really sum your whole project up in those five seconds. So have you a small part of your work with viral potential or that can be used to say what your whole project is. I have been using imgur.com, where you convert a video file online, really simple, and then store it there, and they have an audience for it online. In the description I say a bit about the work and then also put the url for the full film in the description, so people can go to it. You can then put the gif link on reddit’s Gif section and on the usual social media and other gif sites, but always with the description saying where people can see the whole thing. So the Gif hopefully sells the work on.
