Twittering Shakespeare

Nice piece on the Today show about twitter and the language used. They joked about shakespeare and twitter and how hard it would be to sum up the play in a tweet. But also it was pointed out that Shakespeare did invent allot of his own language that become part of English. So not too different to the LOL etc that is invented now. If Shakespeare was around now I am sure he would have come up with a few good internet words. On the subject of Shakespeare there was also a nice piece about the Globalisation of Shakespeare. Apparently on Robben Island where the ANC were kept prisoner, they had something called the Robben Island Bible, where people which was a copy of Shakespeare complete plays, each prisoner had chosen a favorite quote, that they had underlined and then added a little bit about why they liked it.
